A type of security defined in Section 3( a)(53) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. A security that represents ownership of one or more promissory notes or leases that are evidence of the obligation of a small business concern. It does not mean a security issued or guaranteed by the Small Business Administration. American Banker Glossary
